EVACUATED BENEFICIARY BACK FROM INDIA
As Workers’ Compensation Fund Control Board (WCFCB) we are happy to announce that our beneficiary, Stephen Zuze who was evacuated to India on 28th March 2023 for specialist treatment is back after a successful surgery.
Mr Suze 37 of Kitwe, accompanied by his wife Rebecca, was welcomed at Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe Airport in Ndola by Director Compliance and Benefits Mr Kingsley Kangwa and staff from the Rehabilitation department.
On 16th September 2013 he was involved in an industrial accident where a bucket of loader machine hit him of the waist. He sustained pelvic fractures and damage to the urethra. After the accident he developed a complication called urethral stricture, which is a narrowing of the urethra; a tube that carries urine and other fluids out of the body.
He underwent a successful surgery (urethra has been repaired) at India’s Fortis Memorial Research Institute.
A total of K274,390 was spent on the entire evacuation.
