WCFCB JOINS MINISTER IN FACTORY INSPECTIONS

Workers’ Compensation Fund Control Board (WCFCB) joined the Minister of Labour and Social Security Hon Brenda Tambatamba inspecting factories in Kitwe and Masaiti. Companies visited included G & G Bakery LTD, Scaw Limited and Nelkant Cables Limited .The inspections were also an opportunity to market the upcoming Vision Zero conference scheduled for September 2023 in Livingstone. WCFCB Acting Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer Mr Patrick Siampwili, Head Communications and Customer Services Mr Maybin Nkholomba, Manager Occupational Health and Safety Mr Chansa Kapema and Manager Benefits Mr Gilbert Mukumbe joined the Minister in the inspections aimed at ensuring safety and health standards are adhered to in all factories and workplaces.

Factory inspections are undertaken to ensure that the standards of safety and health, as provided for under the Factories Act are adhered to in order to prevent any loss that may arise due to accidents
